"Special E" Events

"Special E" Events is is a way to make your wedding or event stand out from the rest. This New Jersey based company focuses on the Earth and Environment by taking the leftovers from any event and donating them to charities and need-based organizations.

Items that this organization takes from events include, food, food scraps, recyclables, floral arrangements, centerpieces, party favors, decorations, giveaways, event supples and so on.

These leftovers are taken to homeless shelters, soup kitchens, missions, churches, food pantries, food banks, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, recycling centers, compost facilities, charitable organizations and relief agencies.

"Rescue Squads" are in 30 different locations in the USA, ready to pick up anything that needs to go.

The "rescue fee" for this organization to pick up your leftover goods is generally between $1.50 to $2.00 per person, per event. This fee covers the rescue process and pays for supplies and delivery charges of the items.

Jubilation Events has been in contact with the company and we are willing to go through the steps for you to help your event be more environmentally friendly. Just let us know that you want a Rescue Squad available the day of your wedding, we'll set it up and invoice you for the cost of the Rescue.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact us. For more information on this organization, visit www.thespeciale.com.

Tradeshow Success!

A big "Thank you!" to all the brides and people who stopped by our booth at the tradeshow this weekend at Century II.

Our booth featured several services that we provide, including linen orders, invitations, ring-bearer pillows and The MacBeth Collection buckets. We decorated with a Velon design back-drop that was a black and white pattern. We featured a table with red and black accents. One of our favorite parts of the booth was our glass, ball chandelier with rose petals hanging from the wrought-iron awning we put in the booth. Finally, "If Walls Could Talk" provided the floor and sign monogram with our name on it.

We hope to have pictures up soon of our booth.

If you have any questions or still want to order any of the items you saw there, feel free to contact us at sales@jubilationevents.com or 516-1877. We'd also love to set up a consultation to meet with one of our planners to talk about your special day!

Beautiful Brides from head to FOOT

If you remember from a few posts back, Ashley wore these SUPER cute red shoes with her wedding dress. Here's a reminder:

Colorful shoes are the rage this wedding season, and the wonderful thing about it is, you can tailor the shoes to fit your style!

Let's face it, your photographer will love your shoes too.

We have to give props to the bride who came up with the fabulous idea to put her bridesmaids in different colored shoes, with matching bouquets and accessories. Isn't this adorable?

Let's not forget the men! Guys, you can spice up your tux with a little peep of color through your shocks. We thought this was a cute idea also.

These little color accents will make your wedding one that people can't stop talking about.

Kris and Susan

Kris and Susan joined in marriage on April 18 at University Congregational Church in Wichita, KS. Following the ceremony, guests went to Botanica Gardens to enjoy cocktail hour in the main lobby while the bride and groom had a chance to greet everyone.

The reception was a mix of American and Vietnamese influences. Tom's Lotus Garden catered a seven-course Vietnamese meal. Guests also enjoyed music by the band Karma, and Vietnamese karaoke throughout the night.

Susan, her sister and mother changed into traditional Vietnamese attire to greet all of her guests and thank them for coming.

Congratulations Kris and Susan!

Special thanks to Tim Davis Photography for all of the pictures shown here.

Kristin and Alex

Kristin and Alex were married on May 16th at Halstead Methodist Church in Halstead, KS. The guests, wedding party and couple were transported to the Prarie Dunes in Hutchinson, KS to have the reception.

Moore's Flowers provided all of the flowers and centerpieces for the reception and wedding.

Guests enjoyed food provided by the Prarie Dunes, chocolate favors from Cocoa Dulce, and danced the evening away to music provided by The Source Band.

Congratulations Alex and Kristin!

Special thanks to T&J Studios for all of the pictures shown here.
