Welcome Gifts for Out-of-Town Guests

As the prime wedding season is approaching, we have several upcoming weddings that a lot of out-of-town guests will be attending. Some of our brides ponder the idea of a welcome gift for those guests who will be traveling far and wide to attend the wedding weekend.

This decision is completely up to the bride and groom but showing some way of appreciation is nice for the guests. After some digging on Pinterest, I've come across a few simple and creative ideas that would be perfect for those traveling guests. This is a neat way to show the bride and groom's personality and incorporate a few of their favorite things.

An even better surprise is having these welcome baskets prepared and in the guest's hotel rooms when they arrive :)

Breakfast Basket
Brighten up your guests’ morning with a delicious homemade breakfast! Share your favorite coffee blend along with a loaf of banana bread and butter, for a simple yet charming presentation your guests will adore!

Gourmet Goodie Basket
Surprise friends and family with a beautiful basket filled with gourmet goodies from local area merchants. As I know in Wichita, we have plenty of these specialty-type shops!

Bride and Groom's Dessert Box
A simple but sweet box of treats is one of our favorite ways to thank guests and welcome them to the weekend ahead! Plus, it's a little something extra to snack on while in the hotel room.

Destination Wedding Tote
Get your guests beach-ready with a bag full of warm-weather necessities - beach towels, sunscreen, and a local’s guide to help them navigate. The bag can be used as a carry-on for all the fun souvenirs they’ll be bringing back from their mini vacation!

{Fall 2013 Pantone Color Report}

They're finally here - the top color picks Fall 2013!

I'm in LOVE with this new color palette for many reasons: Vivacious - first of all, this color screams sassy, spontaneous, and of course, romantic. This fabulous berry-inspired color would look great paired with Deep Linden Green or even with a muted color such as Turbulence.

Fall remind me of shades of brown so therefore, I'm so excited Carafe has been added to the top picks. This is the perfect color to go along with any fall wedding theme, especially with an accent such as antique gold, mustard or burnt orange. The possibilities are endless with a deep brown such as this Pantone.

I'll be the first to admit, I have a passion for all things purple. The rich, elegant shade called Acai is perfect for any royal wedding event. This shade would look even more marvelous next to Emerald!

I hope you enjoy these color picks as much as I do! Be on the lookout for creative wedding inspirations featuring these colors in the coming months!

Happy Planning!!

{Who To Invite}

We cannot begin to tell you how many times our clients have been caught in an argument with their parents, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts, or even your cousin's best friend's sister about who is invited to their wedding.

Parents think it's necessary to invite those neighbors you lived next to 20 years ago and your brother might think his party buds needs to attend or shall we say, crash the day. After all, this is YOUR wedding day, so be sure to stand your ground when it comes down to who will be receiving an invitation.

We came across this graphic and it's PERFECT for solving that argument...hopefully preventing the argument from even taking place. Just use this graph and you'll be in the right every time.

Reception Seating Chart

Seating charts, how many people will fit at a table, how many tables and chairs, who should sit with whom? These tough questions are always left to the last minute, mostly because your guests will not RSVP until the last minute.

This capacity chart below should help you with a few questions before you conquer the tough task of seating Grandma Martha next to Uncle Bob.

{Bridal Shower Theme}

I came across this fabulous peach and mint Bridal Shower theme idea and I had to share with you all!

Even though we don't have beautiful scenery like this in Kansas, these inspirations are timeless. Your Maid Of Honor can't go wrong with chevron fabrics, a mimosa bar, touch of sparkle, and even the small details of the drink straws and cute signs. I'm a huge fan of outdoor events, so if you pick the perfect time of the year, your next shower will be a success!

Enjoy!
