This One's For the Girls...

It's been a few weeks since I've been able to post. The ladies at Jubilation's have been very busy spending our time with Brides at design meetings and coordinating events on the weekends. We've already booked four more weddings for the upcoming year!

 In the meantime, I've compiled a folder of my favorite things that I've spotted while browsing..well on Pinterest. I wanted to share my findings with you, specifically the ones that are directed to the ladies who will be standing by your side on your dream day. I hope you find inspirations with the ideas I've found!

                     {Taupe Bridesmaids}

{Pink with a hint of purple Bridesmaids}

        {Black and white- simply classic}

 {1920's Theme - love the suspenders}

{Grey floor length Bridesmaids}

             {Tutu Flower Girl}                                                {Country Flower Girls}

                                    {Pink Flower Girls - signs are too cute!}

                                                  {Boa sewn to a tutu}

                                         {Gold, silk dresses with wreaths}

There are so many different ideas you can do to match your personality. Have your Bridesmaids wear different styles of dresses but in the same color or pair the same dress style in contrasting colors. Your options are endless, so switch it up for your big day!

Same goes for your flower girls. These darlings are the last things you Groom sees before he sees you come down the aisle. They can hold signs or a small bouquet of flowers - something different than the common basket of flower petals. Dress up your little girls because it's something they will remember forever - even if they don't stay in their dress all night!

{Breakfast for Dinner}

  One of the cutest rehearsal dinners we have had the opportunity to be a part of this year! Instead of the typical chicken or steak meat for dinner, the Bride and Groom decided to have a little twist and serve breakfast instead. From an omelet station with numerous toppings to choose from, to waffles to biscuits and gravy; there wasn't a guest that could not be satisfied with the delicious buffet.

We are very happy for the final look of this rehearsal dinner. This took weeks of planning, but the Bride obviously had great taste!

Rustic chic centerpieces with blue mason jars and mercury vases

The dessert favor was a muffin sat upon doilies - very country!

 Some of the Bride and Groom's favorite things...Pepsi and Popcorn for their guests to enjoy while watching the video montage.

 Mimosas - went perfectly with the 'Breakfast for Dinner' theme.

 The final result of the room at Cowtown Museum. The colors chosen were light pink, jade and white with silver accents.

Thank you to the vendors who helped complete this beautiful rehearsal dinner -
Classically Covered, Stems, Corporate Caterers, and Cheri's Bakery

Next to come: the wedding ceremony and reception! I can't wait for you to see the pictures from the gorgeous wedding of Sarah Bastian and Brock Hampton!

The Wedding Cake...

...in a world where fashion meets fondant, wedding cakes have become as much of a treat for the eyes as they are for the taste buds. The wedding cake has evolved from an intricate dinner dessert into a center stage beauty. Check out  below some of the top wedding cake trends for 2012.

{ BOLD colors }
Show your true personality with a color that will sure attract your guests.

{ Hand-painted designs }
Turn your wedding cake into nothing less than an edible canvas.

 { Ombre design }
Pick your wedding color and show it off in many shades.

{ Complex cake flavors }
Instead of trying to pick only a couple of flavors for your entire cake, mix them or pick two different flavors per tier. If that is too much, think about fillings between the layers.

{ Cake pedestals }
Display your cake in a decorative way. Choose a color or a metallic, tall or short, antique, or a D.I.Y. stand to enhance your cake.

Coral...the color of Summer!

{CORAL} The more I see this color, the more I fall in love with it all over again. Coral is the color of summer...well, in my own opinion but I'm sure I can get a few of you to agree with me. Coral is certainly a color that hasn't been seen at a whole lot of weddings, which makes it fun to work with this summer, as the possibilities are endless! There are many color options to pair with this color: peach, turquoise (hot combo this year!), ivory, gold, brown, navy...do you need me to keep going?

There are many directions you can go with this fabulous color. Try a chic barnyard theme or a breezy beach theme (pictured below). The ideas will keep coming with this timeless color. No need to stick with a romantic theme; coral is a vibrant color to be able to show off you and Groom's personalities!

Tip: Don't be concerned with matching the exact shade you have chosen. Try incorporating different shades of coral in your flowers, including bouquets and table arrangements. This will help you avoid any contrasts and be able to seamlessly blend any shades that might slightly vary.

I hope you are enjoying this color as much as I am...I can't get enough of it!
 Happy Planning!!

{for the Bride-to-be}

I'm in the process of planning a bridal shower for a good friend of mine. There are so many different ideas and I would like the shower to be a calm and relaxed vibe with an elegant style. Most showers I have been to are the same thing over and over. You eat the same finger foods, play the same games, and sometimes, the decor can be a little cheesy (no offense to those balloon lovers). My goal is to give the guests a unique experience.

Since I'm now in the professional event planning world, I feel that I need to come up with something spectacular for the Bride! Here are a few ideas I'm pondering and hopefully I can figure out the direction I want to go...

the theme - simple and elegant

Pink!
What more can I say?

 This was from my soon to be cousin's bridal brunch. So impressed with my Aunt and cousin's creative abilities. Must run in the family :)

Love, with a pop of color.

the food - light and savory

Doughnut and fruit skewers...perfect for a brunch.

Yogurt bar? The toppings are endless...I'm thinking strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, bananas, nuts, and mini chocolate chips. Perfect for anytime of the day...plus it's not as filling.

Light appetizers for an afternoon brunch. My thoughts are not to serve heavy appetizers since many people will have had lunch before they come.

the drinks - sweet and refreshing

Champagne cocktails...absolutely. Add a little bubbly to any concoction. Martha is always right!

Beverage bar to suite every guests' needs - juice, mimosas, tea...the possibilities are endless. I think this is the route I need to go!

Hopefully my ideas can help any bridesmaids who have a hard time with decisions like myself. Also, if you find any ideas to help with my dilemma, give us a shout; we would love to hear your comments and input!

Bridesmaids in skirts...genius!

I ran across these photos on Pinterest and absolutely loved the idea! Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on bridesmaid dresses (you and I both know will never be worn again), buy your girls skirts and blouses! They can wear these pieces on more than one occasion, plus you can incorporate your own personality with the many options that come with skirts...

- Mix and Match

- Patterns

- Different Lengths

 - Tulle!!

Some other options you can consider when designing your perfect bridesmaid "outfit"...
                                                - Same style, different colors
                                                - Same color, different styles
                                                - Add accessories
                                                - Textures

{Your Story}

How did you and your soulmate meet? When did you officially fall in love? I'm bet there are many questions from family and friends who might not have all the answers.

I found this cute idea (thanks to Pinterest) that can be used in several ways! Also a great way to spend some time with your loved one and reminisce about your lives together. Sit down with your significant other and make a timeline of major events - when you met, first kiss, when you fell in love, when he proposed, etc. After you come up with a list of dates (day, month and year please), share your story with the guests at your wedding! This can even be used at an engagement party, rehearsal dinner, or if you're married, share at your anniversary celebration. This little piece of history can be kept to hang in your home together.

I love the chalkboard idea (picture) or you could have the list printed and put in a decorative frame. Get creative!
