Mad Hatter Tea Party

{The Party}

When the kids arrived, they dug right into the treats on the table! They chatted with each other and took in the fun experience.

Special Guest, Cinderella, arrived at the party! Just in time to read to the kids and play a couple activities, including duck duck goose and a lesson how to curtsy.

Before Cinderella had to ride off in her carriage, she signed autographs and took pictures with each of the kids. They absolutely loved it!

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with Ella at the Mad Hatter Tea Party!

Mad Hatter Tea Party

The birthday party for 3-year-old Ella was a complete success on Sunday! We have so much detail to show you and tell you about that this will be a two part blog (we don't want to overwhelm you). Hopefully we give you a little inspiration and show you other types of events we offer with our packages.

{The Details}

When entering the party, guests are greeted and instructed to grab a wand and enjoy the magic.

The Story Time area was created for a special guest who attended the party where she could read to all the children. You'll have to read our next post to see who the special guest is!

What's a party without a Photobooth?! Mainly the adults took advantage of this area, but we got some creative shots of them participating in the fun we will share with you.

Jack and the Beanstalk was a fun activity for the kids to create their own beanstalk that they could take home to watch grow. The kids has markers to decorate the pots, and plant the magic seeds in the dirt.

The best part of all, the Mad Hatter Tea Party table!

Each place setting was decorated with a china plate and a tea cup filled with a Cinderella Cupcake. The table was decorated with delicate ornaments hanging from tall, white trees. Themed treats filled the center of the table, including Peter Rabbit Garden Veggies, Storybook Tea Cheese Sandwiches, Fairy Dust Macaroons, Rapunzel Raspberry Tarts, and 3 Little Piggy Pudding, with Pinocchio Punch to drink. How cute are those names?

It was so fun to watch the kids enjoy themselves and be in awe of the experience!

No Holds 'Bar'

We're suckers for a fun cocktail hour theme! We love giving our brides inspiration for a themed 'bar'. It's an inexpensive way to entertain your guests before the reception or a late night pick-me-up. Most of these ideas are easy to put together, no matter your guest count.

 Cheese Bar
Create a smorgasbord of cheese, crackers and grapes. Perfect wine pairing.

Coffee Bar
Ahhh yes! Who doesn't love a latte for after hours?

 Popcorn Bar
Share with your favorite seasonings!

Trail Mix Bar
Pick your own mix-ins: M&M's, peanuts, almonds, marshmallows, etc.

 Fruit and Veggie Bar
Goes well with an afternoon cocktail hour or reception.

Pantone Color Report: Spring 2014

We're not sure if you heard, but Pantone released their color report for spring 2014. It's fantastic! The season will be a mixture of pastels, neutrals and happy tones.

We hope to see some of these colors tied in with our weddings this spring! Share with us which colors you like the best!

Freesia - This is the perfect color for floral arrangements and
those little detailed accents. So bright and cheery.

Sand - Pure vintage. Again, another color where you can bring in a
shade of green, gold or even a light pink.

Hemlock - Calm, cool and collected. A great pair with Sand.

Cayenne - A high-pitched red with a hint of spice.
Perfect for the sassy-romantic.

Vintage-Inspired

This Saturday's wedding was simply amazing. Ashley Badwell and Tim Corkill said their 'I dos' on Saturday at Chase Farms in Potwin, KS.

The theme of the wedding was vintage, in which the bride had great taste! Walter's Flowers put together arrangements in the bride's late grandmother's pottery; soup terrines, serving bowls and pitchers were the base of the centerpieces for the guest tables. It was absolutely gorgeous, and the pieces matched well together with the china dishes at each place setting.

The white vintage chairs were used for the outdoor ceremony and reception. They were rented from a fabulous company based out of Denver - Chairished Vintage Rentals. The china dishes and silverware were also rented from Chairished. They were wonderful people to work with and we will be referring our brides to them. Plus, their inventory is incredible.

The ceremony backdrop is a new, hand-built piece added to our rental collection. We were very excited to use for this wedding! Large balls of baby's breath hung above the couple's sweetheart table as a main focus of the reception area and vintage umbrellas hung about guest tables.

It was a beautiful day for this couple and we're so blessed to be apart of this vintage-inspired wedding. The day couldn't have gone more perfect!
